Our office accepts queries regarding case status by either mail or fax -- our contact information is provided below.

Our office is NOT permitted to provide legal advice. If you are a debtor in a Chapter 13 proceeding and need advice about your case, you must contact your attorney for assistance. If you are representing yourself or are a creditor in a case, we can only provide you with general case information. If your question concerns a legal matter, you will be directed to obtain legal counsel.

EFT Payments for Debtor(s)' Counsel and Creditors: Attorneys representing Debtors and Creditors are now offered the option of obtaining disbursements of their monthly disbursements via electronic fund transfer ("EFT"). Uniform Chapter 13 Plan Effective with ALL cases filed on or after August 1, 2011, the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Illinois has mandated the use of a new uniform Chapter 13 Plan. The Chapter 13 Plan form is available to the public at the Benton and East St. Louis offices of the U.S. Bankruptcy Clerk and on the Court's website at www.ilsb.uscourts.gov. Also with the implementation of this new Plan, the Court has also published a Chapter 13 Procedures Manual on its website. Practioners and pro-se debtors/creditors are strongly urged to familiarize themselves with its contents.
